I couldn't find the electrolyte formula I was looking for,
so I created one.
I was able to find formulas that prioritized performance, and formulas with cleaner ingredients. I just couldn't find one that did both.
When I started developing Coconade, I discovered one of the reasons why. Every ingredient I added made the drink chalkier, more metallic, and less enjoyable. The more simple I kept it, the better it tasted.
While traveling through South America, I experienced coconut water differently. It wasn't marketed as a wellness product; it was simply part of everyday life. It changed the way I thought about hydration, even if I didn't realize it at the time.
When I found the right balance of coconut water, lemon juice,
and sea salt, I knew I was onto something.
